Description -- USA. Terra Cotta Body with glossy speckled green glaze. 12 1/4" high - 4" foot diameter - 8" handle to widest point - 2" x 3" sloped pouring spout. Unglazed terra cotta base. There is an indentation on each side where the terra cotta meets the green glaze. I assume these were to provide an additional hand hold when pouring as this is a fairly heavy piece. There are no marks, but I have seen a few of these online and they were designed by Beatrice Albert and distributed by the Alfred E. Knobler Co. Excellent used condition. Great addition to any mid century pottery collection.
Historical Data -- The Albert Pottery operated in Chamblee, Georgia from 1946-1955. It was founded and run by Joseph Albert (1920-1972) and Beatrice (Bebe) Shamos Albert (1920-2004). The Albert Pottery employed 18 people and made 1,000 pieces of dinnerware a day. It was sold throughout the country. Alfred Knobler of New York and later Carbone of Boston were distributors. Joseph Albert was in charge of engineering and production, and Beatrice Albert was the designer.
Description -- Made in Japan. Pattern 3545. All white with platinum trim. Coupe Shape. No decal. Overall dimensions 10 3/8" diameter. Excellent used condition with no chips, cracks, crazing. Discontinued. Current (06/09) replacement value $15.99.
Historical Data -- In 1940, Sears introduced the Harmony House brand as an interior-decorating scheme that used four basic colors that could be coordinated with each other. (The year before, Sears catalogs featured "Charm House," a similar program.) Customers were encouraged to use a color wheel that was supplied in the catalog for coordinating colors. Eventually the color palette was expanded to 18 colors. The Harmony House style and color system was not merely limited to carpets and paints, either; the entire house could be furnished according to the colors. The Harmony House line of dinnerware was made for Sears & Roebuck by a number of companies including Hall China, Homer Laughlin, Salem China, Universal and Fine China of Japan among others. The Harmony House Line was discontinued in 1968.

Description -- 9 1/8 overall diameter x 10 3/4" handle to handle x 4 1/2" foot ring x 6 1/2" high (top of finial). Pink roses with silver leaves on white body with gray rim,, white interior, pattern #3129. Excellent used condition with no damage. Current (09/09) estimated replacement value $79.95. The issue date is unknown but Bella Maria was discontinued in 1959.
Historical Data -- Seyei is somewhat of a mystery to me. I believe it was established prior to WWII as the Seyei Toki Co. Limited in Nagoya, Japan. After the war they exported goods to the U.S. until 1970. It is thought that some patterns, including Bella Maria were only sold in Armed Forces exchanges in the Far East and possibly Europe and were never actually exported to the U.S. They were a major contractor for the Sears Harmony House Line.
